The fifth book in the page-turning SPELLSLINGER fantasy series. The fifth book in the page-turning SPELLSLINGER fantasy series. Kellen and Reichis have just finished fighting a duel in the desert when Kellen inadvertently smears blood on the Daroman flag - an act of treason for which the Marshals have no choice but to arrest him. Just before he's put before the Queen to be executed, Kellen is given a strange piece of advice from one of his fellow prisoners: kill the Queen and he'll be given clemency by those who take power. But when Kellen comes face-to-face with the eleven year-old monarch, he realises she's vastly smarter than he expected - and in a great deal more danger.Perfect for fans of The Dark Tower, Firefly, Guardians of the Galaxy, Terry Pratchett, Ben Aaronovitch and Jim Butcher.de Castell, SebastienSebastien de Castell had just finished a degree in Archaeology when he started work on his first dig. Four hours later he realized how much he actually hated archaeology and left to pursue a very focused career as a musician, ombudsman, interaction designer, fight choreographer, teacher, project manager, actor and product strategist. His only defence against the charge of unbridled dilettantism is that he genuinely likes doing these things and that, in one way or another, each of these fields plays a role in his writing. He sternly resists the accusation of being a Renaissance Man in the hopes that more people will label him that way.Sebastien lives in Vancouver with his lovely wife and two belligerent cats. A twisted fairy tale about a king and queen who wish for a child of their own . . . and end up with a baby goat. Perfect for readers of Children Make Terrible Pets and Wolfie the Bunny.Once upon a time, a very prim and proper king and queen begged their fairy godmother for a child. They'd prefer a boy, with glowing skin, bright eyes, and two roses for lips . . . but any kid will do. When they find themselves gifted with a baby goat (also known as a kid) instead, they can't imagine how he'll fit into their lives. But of course, it isn't long before he's part of the royal family.Readers will delight in this story's hilarity, confusion, and celebration of families that come in every shape and size."A fresh, amusing, kindhearted picture book."--Booklist, Starred review"With its gentle morals of acceptance, not judging by appearances, and being open to outcomes different than expectations, this is a lovely family read-aloud."--Kirkus"The contrast between the royal couple's once-ordered existence and the cheerful mess at book's end is very funny, and the message about acceptance and the expanded definition of family is a bonus."--Horn Book"A fresh, amusing, kindhearted picture book."-Booklist, starred reviewDan Richards is a graduate of the University of Washington's Writing for Children Program, where he wrote his debut picture book, The Problem with NOT Being Scared of Monsters (Boyds Mills Press). Waxwork Records is proud to present CHILLING ADVENTURES OF SABRINA Original Television Score And Soundtrack Season 1 (Parts 1 & 2)! Prepare to sign your soul away to the Dark Lord, because this deluxe triple LP will tempt even the most devout! Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina is a supernatural horror television series developed by Robert Aguirre-Sacasa based on the Archie comic book series of the same name. The series is centered on the character Sabrina Spellman, portrayed by Kiernan Shipka, who must reconcile her dual nature as a half witch, half mortal while fighting evil forces that threaten her, her family, and the daylight world humans inhabit. The score by self-taught musician and composer Adam Taylor (The Handmaid’s Tale) is an orchestral powerhouse that moves from quirky to dark, tense, and terrifying. Through his score, Taylor effectively balances the with and energy of Sabrina’s youth with evil, malevolent cues. The soundtrack is loaded with classic hits from artists such as Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Cramps, Devo, Stray Cats, and many more. Also included on the soundtrack are the standout songs from the series “Always is Always Forever”, “Masquerade”, and “Blest Be The Tie That Binds” performed by the cast from Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina. Packaging features full artwork by comic artist Robert Hack. Hack not only creates the instantly recognizable and classic artwork for the hit Sabrina comics for Archie Studios, but he also fully illustrated the opening title sequence for the Chilling Adventures Of Sabrina TV series. The score and soundtrack have been pressed to 180 gram coloured vinyl featuring two variants: “Satanic Splatter” and solid red, orange, and yellow vinyl. Look at Life was a regular series of short documentary films produced between 1959 and 1969 by the Special Features Division of the Rank Organisation and screened in their Odeon and Gaumont cinemas – replacing the circuit’s newsreel, Universal News, which had become largely irrelevant with the advent of television news broadcasts. Marvellously concise and beautifully shot, these ‘slice of life’ colour featurettes – numbering over 500 episodes in total – presented cinemagoers with varied aspects of contemporary British life, and among the documentaries included here are several that vividly capture the vibrancy and optimism of the Swinging Sixties. Digitally restored from the original film elements, this release compiles 54 memorable films which offer a fascinating snapshot of transport in 1960s Britain, with many unseen since their first screening.
